SENSATIONAL AUSTIN BUTLER! Oh man, what a terrific performance. He truly become Elvis Presley in this biography film, I truly hope this performance is rewarded at the Oscars 2023. That charisma, body movement, accent, even singing - all resembles the Elvis quality.

Baz Luhrmann signature can be felt here. We can feel the atmosphere of 'The Great Gatsby' all over again: the scene, the visual, even the periodic set. Sharing us the backstory of Elvis all the way since the beginning. His career, his life, and his relationship with his manager played by Tom Hanks. Giving us what the world looks like back then before Elvis time and how people responded to him.

It is not a perfect film, there are flaws for sure. One thing is the annoying accent from Tom Hanks that makes me difficult to understand what he says, it reminds me of Leto's weird accent in 'House of Gucci'. The other would be the lengthy duration, I went tot the cinema without checking the duration and finally realized that this is almost a 3 hours film. While at the same time some things were rushed including the reasoning and conflict development.

Despite the flaws, this film is still great. It is inspirational, tragic, and emotional. The music scenes were wonderful, the performance was insane, and the production was excellent. Highly recommended biography film of 2022. Damn what a performance by Austin Butler!
