100 Best Songs in the World
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Cuberat, I wanted to come up with something unique and something that feels even quite personal. I wanted to make a list of the 100 greatest songs in the World, but with few restrictions for myself. First of all, I didn't want to make a list of songs that are maybe the most significant and the most important musical pieces in the history of the music, but rather to be open and honest about my own musical taste. The Internet is full of articles about the best songs in the World including bands and artists like The Beatles, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, and Aretha Franklin. There's no point in repeating that but rather in creating something personal.
These 100 tracks are chosen based on my personal memories and how strong feelings the songs can create, whether it's melancholic vibes, the urge to dance, or just enjoying the moment. The list has been done during a more extended time period and has been changing once in a while. If someone asked me to make this list again in 2032, it would probably be something different, but still have most of these tracks. Few of the bands in the list play an important part in my life, and I genuinely think that many of these bands could include more than one track on a list that contains the 100 best songs in the World. I didn't want to have a list containing too many tracks from the same artists, so I restricted myself to picking just one track from each artist or band. So in many ways, the heading "100 best songs in the World" is slightly misleading, but you still get the idea. These are the 100 best songs for someone, for me.
The list does not have a clear order from good to best, but it still has some directional order. The list starts with great songs and the further you will go even better to songs get.
