Netflix's Marvel universe is a long time coming, and it took a lot of work to get it back up and running. But after the streaming service's series ended, we weren't sure when we would see our favorite characters again.Thankfully, it seems like the MCU is slowly bringing the Defenders into the fold.

When Charlie Cox returned to playing Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans were happy. Shortly after, they wondered if the rest of the Defenders universe would also go into the larger MCU. So far, it's been quiet. But now we know that Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle will also be returning to the Marvel world in Daredevil: Born Again!

Castle is coming back to the TV series that already has Matt Murdock (played by Cox) and Vincent D’Onofrio (playing Wilson Fisk/Kingpin) returning. This suggests that Disney and Marvel are not opposed to bringing all of our favorite characters back together again.

According to THR, it's not yet clear whether everyone from Marvel's The Defenders is coming back. However, it's possible that Frank Castle (played by Charlie Cox) will come back to the Marvel universe, which would be good news because it means we might see other characters from the show return as well.

Netflix's Marvel series were great and brought in a whole new group of fans to the franchise. But when it ended, we weren't sure when we would see these characters again or if they would be played by the same actors. There have been some hints, like Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter recently posting pictures of each other and reigniting the love for Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

The excitement over Daredevil's return and Bernthal's return has shown us that many people want this show. Those who don't care probably didn't watch the Netflix shows, or else they would know that the Defenders shows were great for developing these characters. It was a perfect way to introduce new heroes like Daredevil and Jessica Jones who may not have worked as well in their own movie on their own.

When the other Defenders were canceled, it felt like we would never see them again. But then the new Defenders were introduced, and we're starting to hope that they'll join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We don't know yet how Frank and Matt will work together, especially since they've had a complicated history in the TV series on Netflix.
