The World of Warcraft: Forever beta is set to begin on Thursday, September 17 for PC players. Anyone who preorders the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection will automatically gain access as soon as it opens. The stream and sign-up details are scheduled to be live at 10:30 am Pacific Time (PT). You can check your beta status by opening Battle.net's dropdown menu under World of Warcraft and selecting 'World of Warcraft: Forever'. Access is expected for all, but the exact timing is still unknown.
There will be two phases during this beta. In Phase 1 starting from September 17, players won't be able to progress past level 20. They'll get access to new class abilities and talents, Profession items, and can play in dungeons like Hall of Thanes or Ruins of Lordaeron. The Legacy system will also be available.
Two weeks later, the level cap is raised to 30 during Phase 2, which is scheduled to begin around October 8. During this phase, players will have access to new class abilities and talents, Profession items, and can play in a new dungeon called Excavation Site: Wetlands. The Legacy system also becomes available again at this time.
Players will need to sign up on the official WoW: Forever website by clicking 'Beta Opt-in' at the top of the page if they don't have preordered either premium version from Blizzard's store. There are no set end dates for each phase, but the entire beta is scheduled to last until October 21.
