Twenty One Pilots Set to Debut UK Concert at Victoria Park
The Grammy Award-winning duo Twenty One Pilots are set to make their debut performance in the United Kingdom at London's Victoria Park on Sunday, August 30. This will be the only UK concert of the year for the band, and they have lined up a stellar supporting act including Wunderhorse, Nova Twins, and more.
To add an extra layer of engagement with their fans, the band's creative and content director, Mark C. Eshleman, is inviting about 10 lucky attendees to capture footage from the concert using both Hi-8 and miniDV cameras. These fans will document not only their fan life but also their journey to the show, which will be woven into a feature film that will be released later.
In anticipation of this event, Twenty One Pilots recently released "More Than We Ever Imagined," a concert film capturing their performance at the Mexico City venue during their 'The Clancy World Tour.' The band provided commentary throughout the video to reflect on their journey from early shows to becoming career milestones.
Earlier in the year, they performed a headline set at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid and were described by NME as "the latest in a long line of theatrical performances" with fireworks and pyrotechnics illuminating the stage. Recently, the band has been hitting European festival stages, including stops in Budapest.
The concert also featured a surprise performance from Jack White, who gave permission for Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun to include a sing-along of "Seven Nation Army," which added an extra touch of magic to their show.
