Australian band Tame Impala is celebrating Halloween by revisiting nostalgia with their latest cover on triple j’s Like A Version series, covering Seal’s 1994 hit ‘Kiss From a Rose’. For the record, it was on the Batman Forever soundtrack that first introduced them to acts such as U2 and Nick Cave. The band's Sydney studios transformed the ballad into a stripped-back, synth-driven version of themselves. This marks Tame Impala’s fourth Like A Version cover, following covers by OutKast, Kylie Minogue, and Edwyn Collins. 'Dracula' first released in October 2025 took off with a Jennie remix, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 at number five.

The song topped Pop Airplay and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and spent more than six months atop Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts. Tame Impala is currently on their biggest tour to date in Australia, which saw multiple arena shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and two hometown performances in Perth before concluding with the ARIA Awards next month. Deadbeat leads the nominations, tied with Genesis Owusu. The band recently wrapped up the Australian leg of their tour and will hit UK and European arenas in May 2027, followed by several summer festival appearances.
