The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have issued an apology for the delay in releasing their comedy film titled 'Whitney Springs,' which features contributions from Kendrick Lamar. The long-awaited movie has been in limbo for over a year since its original release date of July 4, 2025. On September 9th, Parker and Stone issued a statement to The Ankler apologizing for the schedule delay and thanking their partners at pgLang and Paramount for their patience.
They acknowledged that 'South Park and life's circumstances have gotten in the way,' but they still believe in the project. The creators also expressed their involvement with Kendrick Lamar, noting he was very involved in writing the script and participating in daily development of the film. As announced previously, the film is set to feature original music by Kendrick that has not been released before.
