November has a particular kind of darkness, and Helsinki rockers Bad Valentines have decided to make friends with it. "November Shadows" finds comfort in that darkness, treating shadows as a constant companion to the loneliness of the mind. As guitarist and songwriter Pekko Mantzin, who wrote the song, explains it, shadows can be friends, and there is no need to avoid them or run away from them. It is a simple idea delivered with the swagger of a band that has no interest in tidying up its feelings for easy consumption.
