The final concert from Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, ‘Back To The Beginning’, is set to return to cinemas worldwide later this year. Held in July 2025 at Villa Park stadium in Birmingham, the event was described as the highest-grossing charity concert of all time, raising around £11 million for good causes. The film features professionally captured footage from the triumphant final show and personal reflections from musicians including founding members Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward. Directed by Ben Wainwright-Pearce (Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, George Michael: The Faith Tour), and live concert directed by Tim van Someren, the film is produced by Mercury Studios.
It will be released on October 28 in cinemas around the world with ticket sales set to start at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST / 4pm CEST on September 24. Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, who oversaw the event, stated that the main request from her husband was to perform again before his retirement. Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby described it as a 'landmark cultural moment', while actor Jason Momoa hosted the concert. The film will also include performances by notable supergroups including Yungblud and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who played with Osbourne's solo band on ‘Changes’ from Black Sabbath’s 1972 album 'Vol. 4', dedicating it to the late Diogo Jota, a Liverpool footballer who tragically lost his life in a car accident earlier that week.
