My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has hinted that the band intends to create a new album in 2027 and possibly return to touring in 2028. These plans were made known during an October 30 performance at the Hollywood Bowl, one of two special Halloween weekend concerts held there.

During his remarks to the audience, Way said: 'Next year, we want to go make a record,' which sparked enthusiasm from concert-goers with cheers and screams. He added, 'Hopefully we'll see you guys in 2028.' This follows comments he made at the closing night of the band’s tour in San Antonio last month, where he said: 'We’ve kind of always wanted to make another record so that you guys who have been with us for a long time can get one more record. '
