HKSPK Confront the Dark Side of Returning Home on "Heimkehr"

Home is supposed to offer refuge, a place where the damage of the outside world can finally be left behind. On "Heimkehr", German extreme metal band HKSPK challenge that comforting idea, examining what happens when people return from difficult experiences without ever fully escaping them. Released on September 11, 2026, the band's second album brings together the icy atmosphere of black metal and the crushing physicality of death metal, creating a record shaped by loss, exhaustion, violence and the unsettling persistence of memory.
