Erick Oscar has been playing acoustic guitar and writing songs for more than three decades, and the instrument still works for him the way it did at the beginning: as a way to process what a day leaves behind. Born in Panamá, he has lived in the United States for many years and is an American citizen. Work has taken him to postings across nearly every country in Latin America, and that mix of Panamanian roots, an American home and a life spent moving through the region shapes a catalogue that refuses to sit in one genre.
