Drinkin' Blue: Bloodkin's Tribute to a Fallen Songwriting Partner

Four decades after Bloodkin first emerged from Athens, Georgia, and as founding member Eric Carter marks his sixtieth year, the band enters one of the most personal and emotionally resonant chapters of its long history. It is the first Bloodkin project created since the passing of Carter's lifelong friend, songwriting partner and bandmate Daniel Hutchens in 2021, and rather than attempting to replace an irreplaceable creative partner, Carter chose instead to treat the record as both tribute and continuation, a focused, forty-minute collection meant to be heard from beginning to end with Hutchens's spirit woven through every track.
