Courtney Love's New Album Update: A Rundown of Recent Health Scare

Courtney Love has provided an update on her upcoming album, revealing that it is complete and a "really good record." The musician also addressed the health scare she experienced in 2019. In a video posted to Instagram, Love mentioned moving from Los Angeles to London, which prompted her to shift away from social media for a few weeks.
She detailed how her body "exploded" during her illness and that she was frequently hospitalized. Describing herself as about 100 pounds lighter and losing all her hair, Love said doctors told her she might die. Despite the severity of her condition, she stated that she never believed them and managed to recover.
Love then spoke about how these experiences influenced her new album, mentioning instances where adults would confuse colors with her. She explained her struggle to cope with such contradictions in perception, which she believes relates to many fans' collective understanding. "I never really lost my ability to see red as red," she said, acknowledging the mental health struggles and coping mechanisms that played a role in her artistic output.
In closing, Love referenced Hole's 2010 album, Nobody’s Daughter, noting how it received significant criticism upon its release. She described an instance where they performed at Pizza Hut Park at 11 AM while Limp Bizkit was headlining with 30 Seconds to Mars, describing the experience as "spectacularly humbling."
