Chanting for a New Generation: Vidura Barrios' "Shiva Shambho Kirtan"

Kirtan is an Indian devotional tradition built around the singing and repetition of the names of the Divine, and composer Vidura Barrios has found a way to bring it into a contemporary musical setting without losing its heart. "Shiva Shambho Kirtan" is a joyful, rhythm-driven celebration of that tradition, blending traditional Sanskrit chanting with a modern world-music sound. The track features entirely organic instrumentation and vocals, an original composition by Barrios, and production and arrangement by Kento Tachibana.
