Sergiy Bolotny has built a career on the idea that regional folk memory and concert-hall virtuosity are not opposing forces but natural collaborators. The Ukrainian-born concert violinist, composer and Assistant Second Concertmaster of the Noord Nederlands Orkest in the Netherlands, educated at music academies in Lviv, Kyiv and Vienna, has spent his career bridging symphonic leadership, chamber music and original solo composition, and his ongoing Ukrainian Caprices and Little Dutch Rhapsodies cycles continue to fuse historical European folk heritage with concert-level solo string technique.
