Some bands are built around a single frontperson's vision. South Swell Syndicate was built instead around a shared sensibility, one carried by musicians who already knew exactly what California sunshine is supposed to sound like. Founded in 2024, the SoCal collective blends surf rock, reggae and influences spanning multiple genres and generations, bringing together members of Tribal Seeds, Long Beach Dub Allstars and Rebelution into a single project united by feel-good melodies and thoughtful, positive lyrics.
