Believe, the music distribution platform, has announced that artists must actively consent before their music is made available for use in Suno’s AI training programmes, according to Denis Ladegaillerie, founder and CEO of Believe. The agreement with generative AI platform TuneCore allows its distributed repertoire to be considered by Suno but does not automatically place it into the company's models.
Ladegaillerie explained a two-stage system: artists must first opt in for their music to be considered for AI programs before making choices about specific partners, including Suno. Any artist who declines participation will be excluded from Suno’s deals,
