Pop star Ariana Grande found herself trapped in an elevator moments after her final show as part of the Eternal Sunshine Tour, which concluded on September 1 at the O2 Arena in London. The singer shared this experience through a series of Instagram photos she posted later that day. In one image, Grande and her tour team member CJ Robinson try to pry open doors while another photo shows Grande's boyfriend Ricky Alvarez helping them out. Both images are labeled with captions humorously suggesting they nearly managed to escape the elevator.

Following the conclusion of the 2026 Eternal Sunshine Tour, which took place across several North American cities including Oakland, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Montreal before concluding in London, Grande announced plans for a new album titled 'petal,' which was released in July. She also released an 'Eternal Sunshine Live' album containing all the live performances from the studio album that month. In early August, Grande decided to take a break from public engagements due to ongoing scrutiny, dropping out of a potential West End production of Sunday in the Park With George where she was scheduled to co-star.
