The vocal air trick

Indiefferential Production

Vocals are one of the most important aspects of a mix. Many producers spend endless hours in the studio mixing the vocal recordings to sit "right" in the mix. One of the best things to start with is a great vocal sample so you can shape it in any way you want.

On some specific occasions the mix has to be done fast and before the deadline ends, so in that case instead of scrolling through various presets on your favorite plugins there is a small trick you can use to make your vocals feel more present in the mix.
