The Abbey Road Reverb Trick
Reverb is essential when mixing a vocal sample track. With this trick, you can make your vocals sound wider while you get rid of that unnecessary low and high-end frequencies. Using a reverb send is always the best way to go since you have better control over different parameters and you can use it on multiple tracks.
A simple EQ plugin is what we need now to cut off the high frequencies at 100 kHz and the low frequencies at 600 Hz. After that, you can remove surgically certain frequencies to make room for the rest of the tracks to breathe within the mix and stand out.
