Laufey’s new live album ‘A Night At The Symphony’ from Harpa Concert Hall

The international tour in support of the Icelandic-Chinese musician's debut album, "Everything I Know About Love," including the sold-out performances in October. 'A Night At The Symphony,' a 14-track album that was recorded during the course of her two-night residency at the venue, is now available for streaming (March 2).

A Night At The Symphony, a new live CD by Laufey including performances from last year at Reykjavik's Harpa Concert Hall, has just been published.

Along with previously published songs from her 2021 EP "Typical of Me," "A Night At The Symphony" also includes cover versions of "The Nearness of You" by Hoagy Carmichael and Ned Washington, "Everytime We Say Goodbye" by Cole Porter, and "Ég Veit Kemur" by Icelandic jazz musician Elly Vilhjálms.

The debut single from the up-and-coming musician, "Lover," which reached at Number One on the Spotify Jazz Chart, was featured on the album "Everything I Know About Love," which was published in August 2022.

The lyrics provide us one of 'Everything I Know About Love's' main pleasures: Laufey's honest self-expression wrapped in the dreamy lilt of the old jazz classics, according to NME, which gave the album four stars. She keeps effortlessly fusing different musical eras and styles."

Since then, Laufey has toured the UK, Europe and US, and will also appear at Belgium’s Ghent Jazz Festival in July. She is currently working on her second album, which is set to be released later this year.
