When 'Dödsrit's previous album 'Spirit Crusher' was released I discovered the band and actually listened a lot oh the album. Compared to the previous album 'Mortal Coil' is slightly more black metal-ish having more blast beat and at times it also sounds more Nordic than previously. The album still definitely continues the same line sounding like the same band.
I like the dynamics on all of the tracks and the vocals are perfect for this genre. The hopeless atmosphere is well built. And actually is quite hard to say Favorite tracks but rather some moments. What I also like is the sense that 'Dödsrit's music same time sounds very raw and hard to approach but then again there are many melodic parts and the mixing is pretty clear and has actually a lot of power compared to many bands from the same genre.
